The CRiTERIA project generated tremendous knowledge and expertise in the context of migration-related and human-centered risk and threat assessment methods. To ensure the sustainability and preservation of the knowledge, CRiTERIA compiled it into an open access toolkit – the Migration Research Toolkit – comprising actionable insights, guidelines and policy recommendations, methodological frameworks and best practices, training material and much more.

The Migration Research Toolkit can assist practitioners in the field of migration and border security to improve their processes and policies. The target audience for the toolkit is composed of EU national border agencies (NBA), EU agencies (EBA) performing border security policy and/or being involved in migration-related policy-making, international organizations dealing with migrants (e.g. United Nations – International Organization for Migration), civil society working in the field of migration (local, national and international NGOs) and researchers working on migration-related topics.

The Migration Research Toolkit builds upon previous work in the context of the sister project MIRROR (Migration-Related Risks Caused by Misconceptions of Opportunities and Requirement) and aims to become a living knowledge base for migration-related issues and topics.
